_ Dylan is an independent songwriter/rapper/hip-hop artist based out of New York.
His unique emotional and storytelling style has gained him much attention in
the underground music world. Dylan has a style of his own; his delivery and
rhythms lend to calling him an impressive rapper, but his creative writing
feels more like that of a young author who can rhyme.
In June 2012, Billboard.com placed Dylan on the top 15 artist chart as the industry's predicted "Next Big Sound." He has traveled from his home base on the east coast to Los Angeles, Colorado, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Washington DC, New Hampshire, Virginia, New Jersey, NYC, and many other places to perform. Opening for acts including Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, Yelawolf, Chiddy Bang, Mac Lethal, Grieves, Asher Roth, Elliott Yamin and other popular new-age hip-hop stars has earned Dylan a strong following in support of his unforgettable dramatic live set.
Keep Your Friends Close EP (January 2012), Dylan's follow-up release to his full-length album Senioritis (2010), shows a tremendous progression of both talent and style. It is available for free download through his artist website. The project features Kinetics (writer of pop smash "Airplanes"), acoustic/indie artist Regina Zaremba, and folk songwriter Aidan Cooper, as well as production by Dylan's primary producer Nico Marchese along with the well-respected hip-hop beatmaker DJ Grumble. It is Dylan's "most honest, most sincere, and most heartfelt [collection of] songs to date."
His debut full-length album, Senioritis, released in summer 2010, reached the top 200 iTunes Hip-Hop charts and features the recently famous internet sensation Mac Lethal, underground hip-hop veteran Symmetry, national deejay DJ Prime, and local New York performing artists Jesse Denaro and A-Game. That same year, Dylan played on the Bamboozle 2010 lineup at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The following year, Dylan attended Cornell University and grew quickly as an artist, headlining the annual show at Cornell's largest lecture hall and performing in Ithaca's biggest venue, The State Theater. Dylan's music has been featured on Power 105.1 FM by DJ Self, numerous college radio stations, popular music blogs including Thissongissick.com, Good Music All Day, The Kollection, Camelback Music, and Fresh New Tracks, and has garnered both magazine and newspaper press.
